Lake Tamblingan is
a lake located on the north slope of Mount
Mortar, Munduk Village
area, District of Banjar, Buleleng regency, Bali. This lake is one
of the three twin
lakes that formed
in a large caldera. To the east there
is a row of Lake Buyan and Lake Beratan.
Flanked by the
surrounding jungle and the highlands because of its location in the
environment of the lake make
it air cool.
As one of the natural attractions, of Lake Tamblingan was not developed in the direction of modern tourism in order to preserve nature and the environment. The main attraction of this place is not only its natural charm, but also because of the many temples that save the history and development of civilization and culture of Bali in particular regarding the establishment and development of the Village Tamblingan.
Told in the century up to 14M 10M Lake Tamblingan is a residential neighborhood whose center is located at Mount Mortar south of the lake. The fourth village was then called the Chess Village, which means the four villages namely: Village Munduk, Gobleg, Gesing, and Umejero. Tamblingan name comes from two words in Bahasa Bali, namely Tamba means a drug, and Elingang spiritual means or ability to remember.
